Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

 

 

I am a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist of 10 years experience. Prior to qualifying as a psychiatrist, I worked as a paediatrician in the acute hospital. I undertook my undergraduate training at The University of Manchester and then moved to UCL and  the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust for my postgraduate training in Psychiatry.  I currently work part time for the NHS as a Consultant in the Camhs Crisis Team, Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust.

 

I have special expertise in the assessment and treatment of depression and anxiety in children and adolescents as well as management of self harm and suicidal behaviours. In addition, I have vast experience in the assessment and management of psychiatric co-morbidities associated with childhood ADHD and autism. I am a qualified  assessor of the Autism Diagnostic Interview.
