Thank you for choosing us for your consultation.  This document sets out some important information that we are required by law to provide to you.  This is for your information only and is not a bill.  As this includes information about our charges, if you do not have private medical insurance but someone else will be paying your bill, you may wish to pass a copy of this letter to them.  Please note that even if someone else is paying your bill or you have private medical insurance, you are responsible for paying any charges which they do not pay.
Consultation Fee: The fee for an initial general psychiatry consultation with the doctor will not exceed £1280, an autism assessment will not exceed £3050, and the ADHD assessment will not exceed £2200. The fee for any follow-up consultation will not exceed £380. A psychiatric report will be provided after the initial assessment is complete free of charge. A letter will be sent to the referrer following the follow up appointments as considered necessary by the clinician at no extra charge. Other additional letters are £137-£275. The fee for sessions with one of our therapists ranges between £150-300 depending on the therapist.
Prescriptions provided within the consultation will be provided at no further charge. If required, repeat prescriptions can be issued between appointments and we ask that you provide 10 working days notice so that this can be arranged. The fee for prescriptions issued outside of a consultation is £70. Please note that this does not include the pharmacy fee, which is made directly to the pharmacist who will provide the medication. Alternatively, we are now able to offer a combined prescription and dispensing service for certain medications which can be collected from the Golders Hill Health Centre Clinic or sent by courier to your home address and the cost will vary depending on the medication ordered and location for the courier.
Following your consultation you may need certain tests (such as blood tests) to help in diagnosing your condition.  If the test is undertaken by another clinic or hospital, the fees for those tests will be determined by the clinic or hospital and charged to you, or your private medical insurer, separately. If there are any fees which we will charge in relation to any of the tests we advise that you have, we will let you know what those will be. If any other services are required we will provide you with the costs associated.
Please see the full fees schedule at www.mindof.uk/fees-list. These estimates are correct as at the date of this letter. Fees are due at the time of booking and include a non refundable £200 deposit for psychiatry new assessments. Please provide more than 7 working days notice for cancellations of new psychiatric assessments otherwise 100% of the appointment charge will be charged.  Please provide 3 working days notice for cancellation of follow ups.
Private Medical Insurance: If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.  Please note you are responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer. We have consultant recognition with most healthcare insurance companies: e.g. Aviva,  Cigna, Pru Health, WPA. Please contact your insurer to find out if we are covered by your insurance company. Appointments are required to be paid in advance and we will provide a receipt which you can pass on to your insurance company to reimburse your fees. Please check with your insurer prior to booking that they will reimburse your fees. Please note we do not accept BUPA or AXA patients.
